Composite indicators overall stable growth in the OECD area

Latest Composite leading Indicators (CLIs), published by the OECD 9 Oct

  • The composite leading indicators (CLIs), designed to anticipate turning points in economic activity relative to
    trend of six to nine months ahead, continue to point to stable growth momentum in the OECD area as a whole
  • CLIs anticipate stable growth momentum in the united States, Canada, Japan and the euro area
    the whole, including France. In Germany, the CLI points to stabilization of the dynamics of growth, while in Italy, the growth
    should gain momentum. The CLI for the united Kingdom, however, continues to signal easing
    of the growth.
  • Among the major emerging economies, the CLIs point to growth momentum in Brazil and in the
    industrial sector in China, while stable dynamic of growth should be located in India. Signs of relaxation
    the growth continues in Russia
