Sterling fortunes reversed mid-way through the week on reports that Barnier will offer the united KINGDOM, a two year extension/transition period. As a result of the dynamics of the cable, ended the week 1.8% higher. The book has also been the top G10 FX performer.
In London, the traders headed home for the weekend, they will want to keep an eye on Hurricane Ophelia, which is on track to hit the UK on Monday.
It is a category 2 storm today, but likely to be downgraded to a tropical storm when it hits Ireland and brings heavy rains to London.
