The GDPNow forecasting model of real GDP growth (seasonally adjusted annual rate) in the third quarter of 2017 is 2.3 per cent on 29 September, an increase of 2.1 per cent, on the 27th of September. Since the previous GDPNow update on Wednesday, the forecast of the contribution of net exports and inventory investment in the third quarter, the GDP growth has increased from -0.16 percentage points and 0.90 percentage points, respectively -0.01 percentage point and 1.13 percentage points, respectively. The forecast of real consumer spending growth and real non-equipment investment growth decreased by 2.0% and 5.7%, respectively, 1.8% and 4.0%, respectively.
